Cameron Orland

Cameron Orland is an Indigenous Asian-Pacific Islander from Guåhan (Guam) in Micronesia. She taught herself to knit at 12 and quickly discovered a passion for the craft. In 2015, she moved to the Bay Area to study fashion design at the Academy of Art University, where she earned the CFDA Liz Claiborne Design Scholarship Award in 2018 and graduated with a BFA in Knitwear Design. Since then, Cameron has designed for Banana Republic Factory Store and consulted for Bulan New York. Though far from home, Cameron is deeply inspired by her connection to her CHamoru and Filipino heritage, as well as her eclectic taste in art and media.
